Description:
|
A bell in a vacuum will get less audible as the air
is pumped out. Since sounds is a pressure wave, it must have a medium
through which to travel. (there is no sound in space!) The low ringing
heard at the end of the demo is due to physical coupling between the bell
and the jar.
