Congratulations to Dr. Brian Kolb
On Friday, June 1, 2012, the Department of Physics held a reception in honor of Brian Kolb, who successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled: "A survey of several van der Waals-rich systems and a machine learning approach to improving density functional theory". Dr Kolb's thesis was completed under the direction of Professor Timo Thonhauser.
