We are privileged to have Professor Lukasz Turski visiting with our department for fall semester. Prof. Turski is a renowned scientist and teacher from the Center for Theoretical Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences -- College of Science of Cardinal Wyszynski University. He is the author of over 110 publications in scientific journals, in addition to numerous popular science articles in journals of general circulation.
Prof. Turski has won acclaim throughout Europe for his exceptional teaching and for his accomplishments in communicating science to the public. He hosted both radio and television programs on science.
He was awarded the 2000 European Physical Society Medal for Public Understanding of Physics and the 1998 Hugo Steinhaus prize for Public Promotion of Science.
