Stairwell Water Barometer

Description:

A tube filled with water is clamped at one and while the other end is submerged in water. The clamped end is then caried up the stairwell, stretching the tube over several stories. At the top of the thrid floor, the pressure in the top of the tube will be so low that the water will boil.

Notes:

This can take some time to set up and a helpful hand keeping the tube in the bucket is nice. Ask the Lab Manager for assistance.
