repelled due to the oppositely aligned magnetic fields generated by the
current.

The following is the directions for programming the power
supply for 40 Amps and operating the experiment:
- Set the standby to on (light on).
- Set the voltage/current selector to voltage (light on voltage side).
- press <5.0 enter>.
- Set the voltage/current selector to current (light on current side).
- press <40 enter>.
- Set standby to off, then quickly back on to see the wires
jump.
