Description:

Two wires (made from one wire folded in half) will be repelled due to the oppositely aligned magnetic fields generated by the current.

Notes:

The following is the directions for programming the power supply for 40 Amps and operating the experiment:
  1. Set the standby to on (light on).
  2. Set the voltage/current selector to voltage (light on voltage side).
  3. press <5.0 enter>.
  4. Set the voltage/current selector to current (light on current side).
  5. press <40 enter>.
  6. Set standby to off, then quickly back on to see the wires jump.
