Thonhauser group receives funding to investigate MOFs for hydrogen storage and gas separation

Prof. ThonhauserProf. Thonhauser receives funding in the amount of $199,842.00 from the Department of Energy (DOE) to investigate metal organic framework (MOF) materials for the purpose of hydrogen storage and gas separation. During this project, Prof. Thonhauser's research group will focus on first-principles electronic-structure simulations to model these MOF materials and investigate their fundamental physical properties. The project is part of a larger effort funded by the DOE with $1,060,000.00, bringing together a theorist from WFU (Prof. Timo Thonhauser) and experimentalists from UT Dallas (Prof. Yves Chabal) and Rutgers (Dr. Jing Li).
