Williams Group Awarded Grant to
Further Radiation Detector Research

Williams GroupPhysics Professor Richard Williams, along with Physics Professor Burak Üçer and graduate students Qi Li and Joel Grim, have been working hard to understand the photoluminescent properties of crystals with potential applications in homeland security and medicine. They recently won a grant, supported by the Department of Energy through Fisk University, to further their understanding of electron and hole transport and mobility in response to radiation in crystals.
